Spirits of Leo (Brooklyn, NY) is an ethereal post-punk band based in Brooklyn, NY. Beginning as the solo recording project of Ryan Santos Phillips, Spirits of Leo grew into a cathartic live act with the release of the band’s sophomore full-length Equinox in 2018. Delivering intimate vocals, chorused guitars and driving rhythms, Spirits of Leo is heavily inspired by early 4AD artists and late 70’s post-punk.
Old Moon is the solo project of Vermont-based musician Tom Weir. Weir seamlessly blends elements of post-punk, classic indie, and shoegaze to create a sound that is immediately familiar without falling prey to genre tropes. Weir began recording music as Old Moon in the winter of 2019 and has since put out multiple acclaimed releases including the EP Past Lives, his debut album Altars, and the compilation tape Dreamer, Sleeper.
Hailing from Vermont, Dutch Experts combines classic 80s new wave and shoegaze sensibility with a modern twist. Drawing on inspiration from the Cure/Cocteau Twins/Kate Bush, commanding vocals and undulating synth are driven by chorus-laden bass lines, paying homage to an aesthetic gone by. Their debut EP, recorded and mixed by Mikey Allred of Dark Art Audio (All Them Witches, Inter Arma) releases later this year.
