About the Diessa:

Diessa writes love letters to CDJ wide mode, playing fast and loose with genres and tempos. Her sets find parallels between bassline and dubstep, tying them to jungle, footwork and rave sensibilities via warped, bass-centred techno. Diessa’s sets shift and slide through forward-thinking international club sounds at a breakneck pace, whilst keeping one foot firmly rooted in a deep love for UK dance music. Co-founder of queer party Babycakes in Sheffield, with releases on LCY’s label SZNS7N as well as Hi-NRG, Edited Arts, All Centre and forthcoming releases on Early Reflex and Infinite Machine. Diessa has spent the past few years honing their craft, self-releasing 21 tracks of playful, genre-melding edits, blends and club tools via ‘she/they anthems vol. 1 & 2’ and supporting the likes of Joy Orbison, Overmono, BADSISTA and Skin on Skin throughout shows in the UK. 2022 saw her play clubs and festivals around Europe and the UK, including a blistering closing set b2b LCY for No Bounds, CTM Festival, streams with HÖR and Keep Hush, and shows in Hamburg, Ghent, Zurich, London, Glasgow, Brussels and more.
