The Feldons with Parker McQueeny's Doomsday Device ( Fundraiser for National Abortion Fund)

Doors at 7pm, Fundraiser for the National Abortion Fund, Minimum $10 Donation

Combining the gritty sensibility of Detroit garage music with the soul and musical sophistication of Staxx Records, Western Mass mod rock and soul review The Feldons perform a high energy mix of vintage and contemporary music. The Feldons take a curatorial approach to their genre, playing fresh arrangements of rare tracks from the pre-British invasion era along with more modern tributes and originals, influenced by bands like Small Faces, Mitch Ryder, The Woggles, the Love Me Nots, and Paul Butterfield.    Known for blowing-up the dance floor and leaving audiences breathless, the 7 piece horn-driven ensemble has been variously described as “the greatest dance band in western MA” (Ben Goldsher, Hawks and Reed Performing Arts Center) and “the last great hope for rock and roll” (Art Bailey, NYC pianist and music critic).  Since their inception, The Feldons have shared the stage with such talents as Tiger Bomb, The Warblers, Kalliope Jones, the Mal Thursday Quintet, and the Muck and the Mires.

Ambassadors of timeless cool, The Feldons transcend the familiarity of garage rock and soul, offering a glimpse into an earlier musical idiom, without veering into nostalgia. The band takes inspiration from the era before there was any such thing as a sub-genre, when live music was king, and 3 minutes was all you needed for a song. Above all, The Feldons offer audiences one hell of a good time. Discover the joy of the music you didn't realize you were missing.
